La Bonita’s: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Palm Springs

La Bonita absolutely deserves all five stars! We stopped by and were blown away by both the quality and creativity of the food. The standout was the Hot Cheetos wrapped California burrito — truly one of a kind. It’s unique, bold, and packed with flavor in every bite. You won’t find anything else like it! We also loved the chips and salsa. The chips tasted homemade, perfectly seasoned, and incredibly crispy, and the salsa paired with them beautifully. It’s the kind of starter that instantly sets the tone for a great meal. If you’re looking for delicious food with a fun twist, La Bonita is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

This place is a good find in Downtown Palm Springs. The food is amazing, with great taste and quality. I ordered a Michelada, Enchiladas, Burrito, and Cheese Quesadilla for the kids. They all tasted delicious. The ambiance is lively and the service is excellent. I highly recommend this place.

This was the best Mexican food I have had in a looong time! It was us and another couple all around raves for how tender flavorful and juice the asada was in the tacos and burritos. We ordered guacamole to start, regular crispy tacos, the cheese tacos with asada OMG!!, the cheese burrito, and the cheese tacos w shrimp. I'm definitely adding this restaurant to my favorites to dine any time I'm in Palm springs.

I visit here on every Palm Springs trip. It is low key, homespun and absolutely fantastic with lovely service, decent prices and genuinely fantastic food. The cheese shell tacos are out of this world, the salsa is divine and the margaritas? Bliss.

A friendly good environment here. Love the music they play . Can sit inside or outside. The waitress was great but I do hold them accountable for serving food made that was rushed (nachos with unmelted cheese). She was kind about fixing it. The nachos were good, glad they season with salt and the chicken meat was better than the usual. Five stars because the atmosphere and food were nice and the waitress went above and is the right person for a great place Recommendations. Should serve nachos on a cast iron plate sitting on wood plate bed. Always add a bit extra cheese and ensure it’s melted. I prefer shredded dark chicken meat that’s fried a tad crispy just before adding to nachos but I understand that takes more time.

We stopped here on a rainy evening after our flight and were delighted they were open with their patio heaters on full blast. We were promptly greeted and seated by Johnny our server. Exceptional customer service and fast service too. The food was soooooooo good. We tried their salsa verde and their regular and spicy salsas that were made fresh. Mouth watering delicious food. You won’t be disappointed

This is a super little gem right on the strip in the middle of Palm Springs. Delicious food, excellent service, and sitting down talking with the owner he treated me like Family. I walked up and asked what was for breakfast then he says hey you wanna try this? This was the second time in a week that I had dropped by while in town visiting. Anytime I end up back in Palm Springs. I will definitely drop by La Bonita’s!

I’m here for a month and already have been here four times. The day time owner/partner is amazing. Great personality. He actually called us over to dine in from the street. We came for early lunch and he made amazing iced coffee. The food is fresh, tastes amazing, and we always have leftovers. I cannot recommend this place enough. We will always come back when we are here. This will be a staple spot!
